Amid his divorce from ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith, Joshua Jackson was photographed grocery shopping on Thursday.
Recent images capture the Dawson’s Creek alum solo shopping at a Los Angeles Whole Foods.
Turner-Smith initiated the divorce proceedings on Sunday, citing “irreconcilable differences” after over four years of marriage.
Tying the knot in 2019, the couple shares a daughter, Juno Rose Diana Jackson, born in April 2020. Turner-Smith is seeking joint custody of their three-year-old, as per legal documents.
The Sex Education star also sought no spousal support for either party and requested Jackson to cover her attorney fees. While the specifics of the duo’s separate and community properties remain unknown to the actress, she asked the court to permit amendments as those details are clarified.
Before Turner-Smith’s filing on Oct. 1, the couple was spotted together multiple times in September. Jackson celebrated the British model’s 37th birthday on Sept. 9 in New York City.
Despite the celebratory Instagram post for the actress’ birthday, which featured a carousel of party attendees, Jackson was notably absent from the photos.
“As i embark on another new year, i can’t help but meditate on love and it’s many manifestations,” she captioned the post. “love is not some lofty unattainable thing. love is a gesture, a look, an intention. love is community. love is showing up.”
The post concluded with the actress thanking those near and far, writing, “thank you to all of you who showed up for me this week in new york— in spirit and in the flesh. i don’t take any of this for granted, and most of all, i don’t take any of you for granted.”
The duo also made appearances at New York Fashion Week and played a role in the launch of the Lotus Emeya electric vehicle on Sept. 6.
Turner-Smith specified Sept. 13 as the date of separation in her divorce petition from Jackson. Two weeks after this separation date, she attended the Albie Awards alone on Sept. 28, hosted by George Clooney at the New York Public Library.
Sharing a Dawson’s Creek fandom on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Turner-Smith revealed that the couple first crossed paths at Usher’s 40th birthday party in 2018.
In August 2019, a year later, Jackson and Turner-Smith fueled speculation of an upcoming wedding by obtaining a marriage license in Beverly Hills, California. It was later confirmed that the pair had indeed tied the knot in December 2019.
“When I first met my husband, we had a one-night stand,” Turner-Smith told Seth Meyers in 2021. “We’re in a two, three-year one-night stand now.”
Both actors entered into their first marriage with each other.
