Winston Duke (born November 15, 1986, in Argyle, Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago) is a Tobagonian-American actor. He moved to the United States as a child and later studied theater at the University at Buffalo before earning a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Drama. His classical training provided a strong foundation for stage and screen work.
He gained international recognition as M’Baku in Black Panther and reprised the role in other Marvel productions. He also received acclaim for performances in Us, Spencer Confidential, and Nine Days. Known for commanding screen presence, charisma, and emotional depth, he has successfully transitioned from emerging talent to established leading actor.
He has continued expanding his career through projects such as The Fall Guy and other film and television productions while also supporting cultural and social initiatives. His portrayal of M’Baku remains one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most popular performances.
